Dragonfly Drop Earrings

This design was inspired by slow summer evenings, the kind where the air is warm and still and the light fades gently across the sky. Sitting on the back porch, watching dragonflies drift and dart as the sun goes down, their wings catching the last bits of light. That sense of softness and color is what shaped my creations.

These earrings are approximately 2.25 inches, made by my hand using individually selected beads. Each pair has subtle variation in color, balance, and movement so no two are exactly alike.

  This variation features glass beads in soft blue and teal tones paired with metallic silver accent beads. The wings are formed with slender 3x11mm dagger beads that give a delicate, airy shape, while the beaded tail adds gentle length and movement. 
  
  
• Ancient gold dragonfly (large) variations with gold tone details
  These warmer versions use all glass beads in gold with varying accent colors; current pieces lean more gold with limited to no pink; colors may differ from product photos. The wings are made from larger 5x16mm dagger beads, giving a fuller, more prominent silhouette. A faceted gold beaded tail catches the light with movement.
  
  
• Iridescent teal dragonfly (large) with silver tone detail
  This variation features glass dagger beads with an iridescent teal finish that shifts between cool green, blue, and soft violet tones depending on the light. The wings are formed with 5x16mm dagger beads, giving a slightly elongated shape with a luminous, reflective quality.
  
  
• Autumn Iris dragonfly (small) with gold or silver tone details
  This variation features glass dagger beads with a rich autumn iris finish that shifts between warm gold, silver, bronze, plum, and olive tones depending on the light. The wings are formed with slender 3x10mm dagger beads while the beaded tail combines black and metallic accents for subtle contrast and movement. 
  
  
• Blue Iris dragonfly (small) with gold or silver tone details
  This variation features glass dagger beads with an iridescent blue iris finish that shifts between vivid blue, teal, and violet tones depending on the light. The wings are formed with slender 3x10mm dagger beads for a delicate dragonfly silhouette, while coordinating metallic accent beads add subtle shimmer and movement.
  
  
• Green Iris dragonfly (small or large) with gold or silver tone details
  This variation features glass dagger beads with a vibrant green iris finish that shifts between emerald, teal, blue, and hints of violet depending on the light. The wings are formed with either slender 3x10mm dagger beads or larger 5x16mm dagger beads, creating a luminous dragonfly silhouette with beautiful color-shifting detail.
  
  
• Purple Iris dragonfly (large) with gold or silver tone details 
  This variation features glass dagger beads with a vibrant purple iris finish that shifts between rich violet, blue, teal, and flashes of gold-green depending on the light. The wings are formed with larger 5x16mm dagger beads, creating a bold dragonfly silhouette with striking iridescent color and shine.
  
  
• Lavender Periwinkle (large) with silver tone details: These elongated dagger beads feature a luminous iridescent coating that shifts between lavender, lilac, soft periwinkle, icy blue, sage green, and silvery gray depending on the light.

Each pair is lightweight and designed for comfortable, everyday wear. Variations in bead color and finish ensure every pair is unique.
